The Lost Trailers, K102, Etc. Etc. Etc.

Happy New Year Y'all!

Been an exciting year for "Mark Stary & The Whiskey Roses." We hope to keep the freight train - a - rollin' right through 2007 as well. Thank you all for helping make 2006 the best year we've had yet!

Here's the updates on the last few VERY exciting weeks!

"Lee's Liquor Lounge" (12-21-06): Our dear friends from Kansas City "The Gaslights" (http://www.thegaslights.com/) came up and played a show with us at "Lee's." We've been fans and friends of theirs for a while now, and it was great to finally share a stage with them. Not as many people as we would of liked, due to the icy roads and the Packer/Viking game, but was a ton of fun all the same. We had Abigail, Chris and Glen up on stage with us to perform "NYC" and "Folsom." Was a crazy, high energy show. And of course they all crashed at our house and we partied and talked music biz till the sun came up. Was a great time and can't wait to get a show down there.

"K102" (12-23-06): Snuck out of the "Ingredients" show a little early, due to the Christmas season and was able to make it home to catch "Mark Stary & The Whiskey Roses" on K102! Donna Valentine and Chris Carr spoke of the band and then played "Choo Choo" off of our new record. Was very exciting and hopefully this is the beginning of a long relationship with K102 radio. Please keep calling in (651-989-5102) and e-mailing (http://www.k102.com/) requesting your favorite "Mark Stary & The Whiskey Roses" track!

"New Delhi Bar" (12-28-06): CMT, GAC, K102 artists "The Lost Trailers" (http://www.thelosttrailers.com/) came over to my house in St. Paul to get some gear for their midwest leg of their Phil Vasser/Little Big Town/Trent Tomlinson tour. Very excited to have some of our stuff up on stage at the Target Center, even though we would not be playing it! Soon though....very soon. Anyway, Ryder, Manny, Andrew and Potter of "The Lost Trailers" came out to our packed "New Delhi" show! They had a great time. They enjoyed our music a lot, participated with the crowd and everything. But the big suprise was that they came up on stage and played their hit "Why Me" among a bunch of other tunes. Everyone's jaw dropped. Was quite and experience. They called us on stage and Dan, Lisi and I performed some songs with them as well. One of my favorite songs of all time is "Longfall" by "The Lost Trailers." It was a dream come true to perform that song live with them. Also, spent a hour and a half with songwriter Stokes Nielson, who was sick the day of the "Delhi" show, on the phone New Years day discussing our musical careers'. He said some nice things about our record and gave me some great advice on the industry. He is one of my musical heroes and it was quite a thrill for me to be discussing the music biz with him.

"New Years Eve" (1-01-07): Dan, Lisi, Shawn Schradle, Shawn Leith and I played "Booya's" in my hometown of Turtle Lake, WI on NYE. Was a great time! Lots of family and old friends there. Horrible driving conditions, but ended up being a fun night.

"Dukes" (1-04-07): Travis Moon and Geno Ricci from K102 were out again for our "Dukes" show. Was a great time. Was very exciting hearing the on air adds on K102 and then coming to the show and seeing it grow. Was very encouraging. Had a great time hangin' with Travis Moon discussing the music biz, our record and old time radio broadcasts. Very cool guy. Anyway, wasn't a bad turn out and we all had a wonderful time. Brought Lisi with us on this acoustic show, she did an awesome job, so you might be seein' her on more "Acoustic Raunchy Tonk Tour" shows!

"O'Gara's" (1-06-07): O'Gara's is always a great time. Lot's of people there I hadn't seen in a while. Steve Mireau, the original rhythm guitar player for the Whiskey Roses was there. Was fun catchin' up with him. Local country artist, Tim Sigler, showed up as well. Anyway, it was great to see everybody! Good turnout! Jimmy was runnin' sound, which always makes for a good night for all the bands. Love hangin' out with The Fountainheads & The Rhinestone Diplomats. Everyone performed well & had a great time. We called up a bunch of our friends and fans from the crowd to help with "Roy Clark" and "Horse." Was a good night.

Thanks again to everyone who continues to support us. Your the best. Thanks to all the people takin' photos, etc. We appreciate it. See y'all soon!

Mark
