Dickens
Hey,
Hope that everyone is enjoying their holiday season. I'm half way through the Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol" and it's gettin' me in the mood.
Went and saw "The Fountainheads" show on Monday at 7th St. and it was great. Can't wait to perform with them at "O'Gara's" come January.
Really excited to hear our ad's on K102 this week for the "Dukes" gig on Thursday. Should be a "gas" as Dan says.
Last weeks shows.......
"Badaz" was a great time. We managed to use the pool table for a stage again. Got both Dan & I up there. Was a tight fit but fun. Had a very wild and excited crowd. All the hardcore's were there which is always nice such as The Ingrams, The Pink Ladies, The Stout Punkers, The Winona Fan Club, The Monett's, etc. Even Mr. "Bass-Man" Ryan Erickson made an apperance with his bro. Was suprised to see so many people, I didn't recognize, that knew all the tunes though. Very rewarding for a songwriter when that happens. Makes it all worth while. The record is getting some leg work done. I love turnin' that bar into a honkey-tonk. Thanks again to Scotty, Kyle and the crew. Always the best part of the night is hangin' afterwards eatin' "Jeff & Jim's Pizza" talkin' strategy and makin' up stories about Scotty's brother, Ryan.
"Nova" was relaxing, refreshing and mellow. The opposite end of acoustic shows compared to Menomonie. Which is nice as well. We get it all in this live music scene. Gotta be able to adapt. If all shows were like Sin City 2, I likely would be dead by now. But got lots of good compliments at "The Nova" and got rid of a few discs. Great food and service as usual.
"Plum's" with Geoff Elvee was fun. Dan joined up with Geoff and I for an acoustic night. Had a decent crowd. Everyone was in a good mood and keepin' Alex and the boys busy at the bar. Excited to see that the new songs are takin' off. Geoff's "Copenhagen" tunes took the cake though, in my opinion. Had a great time with da boys talkin' Nashville till all hours of the night at my roomate's pub afterwards.
Anyway, big K102 week for us. Hope y'all get a chance to check out our song on Saturday night at the 10:00 hour or hear our ad's this week for the "Dukes" show on Thursday. Thanks for everything, y'all, hope all is well and see ya soon.
