"Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition!"
Hey Everyone,
Hope y'all had a great thanksgiving! I had a great time hangin' with the fam' in my hometown of Turtle Lake, WI. Looked over my Grandpa's World War 2 pics, while listening to my grandma's collection of songs from that era. Blows me away every time when I think of what that generation had to go through. Tougher than nails. Found a great pic that we might use for our next album cover though! Ran out later to meet up with Tom, Shawn, Hassel, Scott, etc. for a beer or two at "Booya's." Friends and family is what it is all about!
Went to the Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert & Randy Rogers Band show at the Xcel on Sat night. Got to hang out with Randy Rogers band for a while. Very cool guys. I told 'em that we do a version of their song "This Time Around." They were impressed and played it first on their set. All acts did a great job. Very inspiring. Stopped by the ol' "Eagle Street" afterward to drop in on Mr. Tim Sigler's set. Was packed and he did an excellent job. Was nice for me to spend a Saturday night on the other side of the mic and see what's going on. Honestly, I missed it, even just for a night!
"Tiffany's" on Thanksgiving Eve was a blast. Great sound! Had a crew from Menomonie up, the Roomies, The Pink Ladies, the Girneau crew, some rep from "Plums" and all were very loud and had a splendid time. Was great to hang out with Mahoney and the boys. Always fun to catch up with them over a beer, or in their case, Yag!
"Hat Trick" in St. Paul was fun as well. Robin and Larry who run the place were very cool. Larry had the best vinyl collection, he was spinnin' between sets, that I have ever heard. Robin came up on stage added some harp on some cool blues tunes in the key of "G". B.A.R. from So-Dak was up, Sarah, Nate-Dogg, Bobby G, Kristof, etc. were all out. Was fun.
Lookin' foreward to the shows this week. "O'Gara's" should be a sign if the Pat Green show gave us a bump with the fan base. We got our fingers crossed! Thanks for everything y'all and hope to see ya this week!
